Neko Neko

English Artist, Neko Neko, trained in the mountains of Japan. High up in the mountains of Echigo, Japan, Neko Neko trained in silk painting, calligraphy, and artisan paper making over a period of 5 years. In Tokyo, she moved onto working with ink and acrylics in abstract and colourist painting. The processes are meditative – which appeals to her solitary nature and a desire for calm living.

Other works draw a connection between the human body and the natural world, for instance, the power of the oceans and the vast waves of emotion experienced by the body. Neko Neko’s work has sold in Denmark, Finland, Japan, the US and the UK. The painting: My Body and the Sea was part of Art on the Underground 2023 at Pimlico Underground Station near Tate Britain, and was later exhibited at Ad Lib Gallery Wimbledon. In 2022 Neko Neko had 3 solo exhibitions in London.
