Ad Lib Gallery is delighted to present a trio exhibition of works by artists Nay Bellamy, Katy Eccles & Fi McDougall.
We’ve brought together a diverse group of artists who explore the beauty of botanicals through an array of mediums and palettes. Each piece offers a unique interpretation of flora’s intricate forms and colours. This exhibition celebrates the endless inspiration that plants provide, transforming organic elements into captivating works of art.
Join us in discovering how artists reimagine the botanical world—one stroke, print, and texture at a time.

Nay Bellamy
Nay's contemporary floral work beautifully merges classic botanical painting with graphic stripes and colour blocking, inspired by the vibrant colours of seasonal flora. She uses acrylics and oils to create flowers that elegantly envelop the frames. The juxtaposition of delicate, organic floral forms with the structured, geometric stripes creates a sense of tension and harmony. This interplay between classical floral art and modern design makes the pieces feel fresh and dynamic, combining the elegance of nature with bold, graphic minimalism.
Katy Eccles
An Edinburgh based Botanical casting artist. She works from a studio in Edinburgh but makes regular trips back to Fife to collect beautiful flowers from her mother’s garden. She hopes to build a studio in Fife soon as part of the steading designed by her parents, both architects, surrounded by the stunning garden her mother has cultivated over the past 25 years. Without her incredible mother, Imprint would not exist. She looks forward to getting to know others and creating special casts for them.
Fi McDougall
Inspired by traditional herbaria and the Victorian practice of flower pressing, Fiona’s artwork aims to celebrate the evanescent beauty of nature. Fiona works from her Scottish garden and studio, where the flowers are homegrown and hand pressed using traditional methods.
