Gulab Chaggar

Gulab is a photographer and film-maker. The photographic prints below are from his series 'Cervidae: The Messengers of the Gods'.

His limited edition of photographed digital prints that are exquisitely printed on aluminium metal set within a dark wood floating frame, is both a collection inspired by the fascination of myths and legends surrounding these creatures that travelled to England thousands of years ago, and have for centuries been the substance of extraordinary tales and worshipped by cultures across the world, believed to be prophets, deities, spiritual beings, and gods, and a symbol of good luck.

Gulab Chaggar patiently sat with these majestic creatures capturing their traits and habits in the wild, creating both a book and a series of prints that continue to be exhibited here in the UK.
