Tamara Williams
Tamara Williams is a British contemporary painter known for her evocative, dream-like semi-abstract landscapes.
A background in graphic design is evident in her use of bold composition, abstract line work and harmonious colours. She works intuitively, seeing more when not focused on the detail with paintings that capture the experience rather than the reality of each landscape.
“I love the simplification of pattern, space, colour and texture from the places I have visited. Some of these are specific to landscapes around my studio in Surrey and the South Downs, but mostly they are a visual amalgamation of memories and feelings from one or many places”.
Tamara spent 20 years running her own design agency in London, before transitioning into full-time painting in 2021. Her paintings have quickly gained recognition with inclusion in the 2025 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
Her studio is by the River Thames in North Surrey.
