Morten Rakke

For the past three decades, the award-winning Norwegian photographer Morten Rakke has travelled the world as a photojournalist and commercial photographer. His unique vision, visual sensitivity and ability to capture meaningful moments in time have been recognized several times by Picture Of The Year Award, The National Geographic Magazine, Nordic Media Days Award, Farmand Prize, The International Chess Federation, among others. In addition to appearing in print and web media, Morten´s work can be found in many public spaces, corporate offices and private homes. 

His broad interests have allowed him to master different forms, from hauntingly beautiful landscape photography to thoughtful portraits that reveal the inner lives of his subjects. His vibrant street scenes and sports photography capture people in motion, stimulating not only the viewers visual sense but evoking the sounds, smells and feeling represented in each image. From the solid “thwack” of a tennis ball to the roar of a wave crashing against a rock, the call of a fishmonger in a market stall to the gentle breeze rustling through the hair of a mysterious woman, Morten´s photos are felt as much as they are seen.
