This artwork depicts an imagined gathering of music icons we have loved and lost in the setting of the diner from Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" painting. They are all connected by being members of the so-called 27 Club. From left to right: Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison of The Doors, Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, Ron 'Pigpen' McKernan of the Grateful Dead. There are also nods to blues guitarist Robert Johnson, and the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Initially a commission, the original piece resold at the Royal Academy during their 2021 Summer exhibition for £30K. Grayson Perry tweeted that it was one of his "faves" in the show.
