Laura Gee

Laura Gee is a London-based artist working in intuitive, colourful, semi-abstract painting. Originally from Nottingham, she graduated with a degree from Manchester School of Art. Her work explores nature, a sense of place and time, motherhood and mental health, and is made in her studio in Walthamstow.

Her work has been exhibited at The Garden Museum, Bankside Gallery and Dulwich Picture Gallery, to name a few, and is held in private and public collections.

Laura's garden paintings were publicly commissioned by both UCLH Arts and Heritage Charity and Imperial Health Charity, and are now permanently installed at UCLH and St Mary's Hospital. Her hopeful garden pieces were chosen for the positive effect they have on viewers.

Alongside her studio practice, Laura has led nature-inspired art workshops for The Garden Museum, Hackney Arts Charity, Hospital Rooms and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Laura's art is rooted in slowing down and finding beauty in ordinary moments, and her colourful work feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.
