HAZ

HAZ is a London-based, self-taught contemporary painter celebrated for her bold, colour-saturated still-life compositions. Working primarily in acrylic, she builds richly layered and textured surfaces that enhance the vibrancy and physical presence of each piece.

Drawing on a background in fashion design — where she studied printmaking, colour theory, illustration and life drawing — her work reflects a confident understanding of shape, pattern and visual balance.

Influenced by Mediterranean travel and the ritual of shared dining, her paintings celebrate favourite foods and drinks — seafood platters, citrus cocktails, fresh bread, oysters and sun-drenched florals. Everyday table scenes are transformed into vibrant, stylised compositions through strong graphic structure, playful perspective and expressive brushwork.

HAZ creates with interiors in mind, carefully considering how colour and form interact within a space and the atmosphere a painting will bring to its surroundings. The result is joyful, visually striking work designed to energise and elevate a room.

Her work has been collected internationally, with pieces held in private collections across the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Japan and China. HAZ has consistently experienced strong demand at art fairs, where her collections regularly sell out. Her prices have steadily increased over the past three years in response to growing collector interest.
