Daisy Emerson

Daisy Emerson is a contemporary British artist based in Kent, whose work explores the beauty of the natural world through highly detailed botanical oil paintings, often incorporating her distinctive hand-painted lettering.

Having studied at Central Saint Martins, Daisy has established a successful artistic career spanning over 15 years, with a background in art direction and creative production. Her work has been exhibited at Somerset House, The Other Art Fair and more recently featured on the London Underground as part of the Art Below Summer Show.

Originally known for her enamel lettering and traditional gold leaf work, Daisy's artistic practice has evolved towards contemporary botanical oil painting, with a particular focus on florals and fungi. Drawn to their vivid colours, intricate textures and ever-changing forms, she creates striking, realistic paintings that celebrate both their beauty and symbolism.

Central to her recent work is an exploration of life's cyclical nature, reflecting the shifting rhythms of growth and depletion, energy, rest and renewal. By combining realistic botanical imagery with bold hand-painted words, Daisy explores these contrasting states and the experience of living between them.

With a carefully considered, calming colour palette, Daisy creates paintings that reflect her appreciation for interiors and the relationship between artwork and the spaces we live in. Working between her home studio in Kent and a studio in Ashdown Forest, Daisy continues to develop a distinctive visual language that celebrates the natural world while exploring the complexities of human experiences.
